Meet Jessica Coco, a self-proclaimed travel junkie, shoe addict, and cupcake connoisseur. Inspired by the many looks of Olivia Palermo, Kourtney Kardashian, Blake Lively, Valentino and Oscar De La Renta, this frequent flyer’s
style is modern, yet classic.
Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Jessica now lives in Toronto
where she works in the world of business as a Financial Associate. When not at
work, Jessica quickly shifts her attention to her passion for fashion and travel.
“I always knew I wanted to have some aspect of my life involved in fashion and lifestyle” she says, “hence the creation of my blog Five Six with Heels in February of 2014”.
Five Six with Heels has allowed Jessica the opportunity to stay connected with her love for all things beautiful. By creating a blog around fashion, Jessica is able to separate herself from the corporate world and share her favorite fashion, food, and travel inspirations with her followers.
“I started the blog because I knew I was going to follow my studies and work in finance, so I wanted a side job that I could call my own and start from the ground up. I never expected to have a huge following because I started my blog for myself…having people actually follow is such a blessing. My goal with FSWH has been to shed some light on different ways of looking stylish and put together.”
Jessica’s ability to blend fashion with travel seems effortless. Her advice to fellow travelers is to always be comfortable, but chic.
“I see so many people in the airports looking like they just rolled out of bed,” she says. “I know flights are long and you want to be comfortable, but there are better ways of achieving comfortable without sacrificing your style. There are so many options out there when it comes to clothing, so just opt for the dressier sweat pant or an embellished tee to spruce up your comfy look.”
When it comes to her own travel style, Jessica usually opts for her comfiest pair of jeans, matched with a dressier tee, comfy sweater, and scarf to help keep warm on the flight.
“I hate having cold feet so I always chose a pair of flats or sneakers to wear with my outfit instead of a flip flop. I also usually have a wide brimmed hat or a leather baseball cap handy to hide my ‘I’ve been on a plane for hours’ hair,” she says. Jessica never leaves home without her favorite travel accessory, her Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM bag. “I always use it as my carry on because it is a bottomless pit. It holds absolutely everything…”
Jessica has been fortunate enough to travel all around the world, and shares her experiences within her blog.
“My favourite travel destination would have to be Paris,” she says. “I know it’s totally cliché of me to say but Paris is so magical. I went for the first time this year and was smitten the entire trip. To me, what makes it so special is the fact that it gets more and more beautiful as the day goes on. You see it in the daylight and don’t think that it can be more breath-taking but when it’s illuminated at night, it’s mesmerizing.”
