Cafe Winkel 43: Amsterdam

If you’re visiting Amsterdam, Café Winkel 43 is the place to go for the perfect dessert and cup of tea. Located near the canals on the Noordermarkt, Winkel sits in the heart of the Jewish quarter called the “Jordaan”. It’s location is the perfect spot to take a break from sight seeing, providing a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Café Winkel offers a small outdoor terrace as well as seating inside, and opens early in the morning until late at night.

Although the menu offers a wide variety of sandwiches, soups and snacks, we highly recommend coming here for the apple pie. Winkel is famous for this delicious treat, and has become the go-to location for travelers and locals alike. Be sure to pair your pie with a delicious tea or beverage.
